Chocolate, coffee, and a touch of the devil. Welcome to hell.
BOM stands for Belgian Original Maltbakery & Brewery — and that "bakery" is no coincidence. Brewmaster Bert Van Hecke bakes his own malt in a converted coffee roastery, tailored to each beer. For the Triporteur From Hell, the malts are hellishly roasted until they possess exactly the character this dark beer requires. A unique approach you won't find anywhere else.
The result is reminiscent of chocolate, caramel, freshly brewed coffee, and freshly baked bread. The wheat malt provides a healthy, light cloudiness and a full, smooth body. Bitterness is traditionally provided by East Kent Golding and Styrian Golding — two classic hop varieties that beautifully support the roasted depth without overpowering it. And then there is something else special: the flavor continues to evolve in the bottle. This beer rewards patience.
The Triporteur From Hell is a beer suited to dark evenings and slow moments. Powerful in character, but never clumsy — a West Flemish dark ale that wears its devilish name with panache.
Excellent with dark chocolate, a cheese board with aged soft cheeses, or as an accompaniment to a stew with dark beer.
